Assessment
Our Approach Assessment
At Queen’s Croft, our assessment framework is carefully designed to reflect and support our bespoke, spiral curriculum. Pupils follow one of three pathways—Explore, Extend or Excel—matched to their needs and developmental stage. We assess pupil progress using clearly defined curriculum goals and achievement statements, recorded termly on Evidence for Learning. Each statement is graded as Emerging, Developing or Secure, enabling us to track progress over time and plan timely interventions. Assessment is holistic, inclusive of academic and personal development, and supports pupils in making meaningful progress towards accredited outcomes. Full details can be found in our Curriculum and Assessment Overview below.
